Should I Obliviate Merula Hogwarts mystery? ›

If you Obliviated Merula, she won't remember anything and she'll leave the Courtyard. Talbott will be quite happy with this outcome. If, however, you decided not to use the Memory Charm, you'll reason with Talbott, and Merula will admit she never intended to reveal his secret to anyone.

If you like Merula, or if you are dating her, it is HIGHLY recommended to keep her in the Circle. If you choose to keep Merula, she'll let out a sigh of relief, and you will explain why you decided to keep her.

Next, you'll get to choose if you want to save Merula or not. Saving her requires Empathy level five and it is the preferred option since it rewards ten attribute points.

It is highly recommended to let Merula cast the Patronus Charm. This will prove she's nothing like her parents, and it will likely be referenced in the future. If you decide not to let her cast the spell, she'll get hurt, and you'll quickly step in to deal with the Dementor.
