I do not know how it happened but a piece of concrete was inside the drum. I do not want to imagine what would have happened if that piece came out and hurt my baby. I spoke to the company and explained what had happened to me, but they do not want to be responsible for what happened because the washer is in Tijuana (border with San Diego), I bought the washer in Pirch San Diego California in 2015. I have a laundry room in the basem*nt and one up on the top floor with the Bravos in it. I only do the clothes that are not dirty but a little smelly in the Bravos. Any clothes that are dirty I do in my 20 year old machine in the basem*nt. Do not purchase this machine if you are under 56 because you will need a step stool. Everything I wash I do on the longest cycle because the other cycles do not get all the clothes wet. Think about what I just said. The machine does not get all the clothes wet. Do not purchase this machine. I really cannot call it a washing machine, but they look real pretty in the laundry room.

Washer breaks after 2 years. I purchased a Maytag Bravos XL washer from Lowes just 2 years ago. One of the main driving factors for the purchase was the Maytag brand. The repair tech just told us the bearing was bad and we need to replace this and the drum. The service call was $100 and the repair will be over $500. I can purchase a new washer for this. I strongly recommend not buying any Maytag product. The brand used to stand for quality but not now. I dont think the Maytag repair is still the lonely tech they used to be.

This washer is supposed to be the top of the line, and because it is almost three years old, it is no longer under warranty. This washer will fill with water but does not spin or rinse the clothes. We paid a lot for this home and were so happy to get appliances that were all practically new. Now, we refused to have a repairman come and charge us lots of money to fix a washer that should not be broken. I have had washers run for 15 years and that was when I was washing clothes for 6 people, including cloth diapers for triplets! I will not buy any Maytag appliances. Why is no one doing anything about the crappy product that Maytag is putting out. I am a single mom of 4 and I had to purchase a new refrigerator about 3 years ago. Spent a lot of money on this Maytag, approx. $1400 and it is now useless. I had nothing but issues with it from the time I got it. The bottom freezer kept icing up and then leaking all over my kitchen floor. I had to call a repair guy out, who charged arm and a leg and said it was fixed and 3 months later it was doing the same thing. Since I could not afford to pay ridiculous amount of money to repair it again (although I question what they said they fixed), I had to chop up the ice each month and take huge pieces outside and i had to keep towels always at the bottom of my fridge (yes very attractive) but it ruined my floor and carpet. Now all of a sudden the piece of junk just shut off and stopped working and keeps making this popping noise. Lights went out in front panel. So I had to call a service guy out again but this time I called an independent local guy that is not gonna rape you in charges like Maytag does and he told me to look into this that he has heard so many complaints that the front board with control button has been known to blow out the back circuit board, which is what happened. He told me that parts are MDs, so he would have to get another manufacturer and he heard that even with replacing both of them, it has been known to not work and Maytag takes NO responsibility at all for any of this. THIS IS WRONG. I cant afford to spend around $800 to now fix this or another $1,400 to buy a new one. So I am without a refrigerator. What a nightmare. MAYTAG, TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR CRAPPY PRODUCT. We are hard working people that spend our money and expect a good product. I also have an oven I bought and I can tell you it is a piece of crap too. I swear at it all of the time, as it takes forever to cook anything and the outside that is supposed to be stainless steel is all yoked up. It is like a tin can, looks horrible. I will never ever buy another Maytag product and I hope that ConsumerAffairs steps in and does something about this.

What junk! We have a bottom freezer and were getting water build up on the bottom under the basket. In order to keep the water from leaking on floor I had to chop the ice out of the bottom every 2 days. My husband got frustrated and took the whole freezer apart only to find all the coils were covered in ice. Soon after that the ice maker stopped working. Tried different things to get it working. We finally took it apart and found the factory did not screw in all the screws on the inside so they fell out on the circuit board and shorted the thing out. Lucky it didnt burn the house down. All I can say is junk! Do not buy!

Doesnt match the Maytag dryer. And the old washing machine got moved out to the garage. Its the pandemic. I cant keep going to the laundromat. What good is a warranty if Maytag/Whirlpool always has excuses for why they dont have parts. Its the motor. The very basis of the machine. It took them 2 weeks just to look for one. You wouldnt believe the excuses they make when we talk. But I am really unhappy with the way it all worked out. What good is a repaired machine 3 months later than I needed it. I had to buy a new machine. Why didnt they just tell me to do that on day 1 so I could avoid the laundromat. Why are they spending so much money to basically repair everything in that washer when they could have just bought me the new machine. When is a warranty not a warranty at all, but just a big lie?

Later, we found that pennies and other small items had slipped into the fins of the drain pump and ground them off. The filter does not keep out of the pump and is not made right to stop damage. I called a local Maytag dealer who said he had a lot of similar complaints. I called Maytag who stated they have no registered complaints of this type and had no fix for it. Avoid the Bravos line of washers - they are not made right and Maytag will not admit it or help you. Bravo for Maytag who are obviously not going to act on it. Make a formal complaint and find if someone has a lawsuit you can join!

This washing machine fails in every aspect period!! AND the matching dryer is a waste of space as well, clothes come out damp regardless of setting or time period. When I was younger, Maytag meant something, not anymore! I have searched to see if there are replacement sensors, or upgraded components to make these machines work properly, that I would even be willing to pay for myself and get them installed to make them functional, but NO they dont even offer that... we are just stuck with them. The repairman came and told us that it was a common problem with the French Door fridge and an easy fix. Maytag has a new P type defrost hose that doesnt freeze up. He changed the part, $149.75 bill, and no more problem. Should Maytag have let consumers know this was a part that was failing? Yes, definitely. But at least the fix was reasonably cheap.

It doesnt fill properly when I put it on deep full. It tangles my clothes so I have to untwist them when I take them out. It has torn some of my things due to twisting. Some areas of the clothes dont even get wet. Some areas also do not get rinsed properly and I have to repeat the cycle. I have had repair people come out and they cant find anything wrong. I am so unhappy with the washing machine and Maytag just ignores the issues I am having. Im going to have to give it away and get some other brand. I reached with no he detergent. The last 4 times the water level filled to 1 depth even for high level water setting to extra rinse or power wash settings. I went to Home Depot and they suggested I call Maytag repair center on Tuesday after the labor day holiday to have them check it out. I will also call the supervisor at Home Depot as I do not feel paying $600 for a faulty machine is acceptable.

I paid $ 221.00 to have it replaced. 10-31-2013 I was washing a load of cloths and it was very noisy. I call the local dealer and they come out and said that it needs a drive shaft tub part #w10193886. I would be about $300.00 to replace the part. Also they charge $75.00 for a service call. I called Maytag and talked to Ashley (**) from customer service and she said they could not give me any help that the washer was too old. I might also add that my last washer was 3 years old and the motor needed to be replaced. It was also a Maytag. I always thought if you paid more money for quality it was worth it. I am sorry I did not buy a cheap machine from Sears or somewhere else. It would of been 1/2 of the cost and I could of replaced it after 3 years or so if necessary and still been money ahead. We also have 4 rental homes that have all Maytag in it. I will be holding my breath that they are not junk also. Following several calls, all of which resulted in the delivery date being extended to over eight weeks, the same engineer called to install the new motor. He refused to do it as the surrounding paneling had not been removed to give him access to the cabinet. It took another four days for him to return after we called in our builder to remove the panel--three screws and four-minute work. I asked for the warranty to be extended, by way of recognition of Maytags awful service. My request was rejected out of hand and the reasons do not accord with the chronological evidence I hold. I am about to bring a claim in the local County Court.

First time we operated the self-cleaning feature on the oven the outer pane of the double glass pane door had what appeared to be grease stains and dirt. In as much as it is a SEALED double pane glass door there is no access to the outer pane to clean it. The double range was only 16 months old and was purchased at RC Willey in Henderson, NV. We also purchased ALL Maytag appliances for our kitchen i.e. refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer on the same date. In addition we purchased furniture for the entire house at RC Willey. The Service Department at RC Willey advised me to access the Whirlpool website for assistance or to call an independent service repair contractor at my expense. THANKS MAYTAG! After having had your laundry appliances for over 30 years, without any service problems whatsoever, I was lulled in a false sense of security over the quality of your appliances. Now I have a household full of Maytag appliances and am at the mercy of independent service repair contractors.

After we called a technician to come out, he stated we had a crack in our drum. How in the heck does that happen in 4 years time and only laundering for 2 people? Of course this steel drum should not wear out before the other parts, but it did. Since there is a backorder on the replacement drum, it makes you wonder if this problem is wider than it seems. Also, Maytag would do nothing for us other than offer us the purchase of a new dryer at a discounted rate good for only 7 days of their offer. Seriously, how about standing behind your product? And, then again, why would we be enticed to spend that kind of money on the same type of product that has flaws? Uh, duh Maytag or Whirlpool. Silly fools you are.

The unit was down approximately 2 weeks waiting for parts and a second service call. Just six months later (approximately 08/05/12), the control panel failed again. Thinking that a trusted American, iconic industry leader such as Maytag would stand behind their product, I called for what I thought would be a covered repair. I explained to a supervisor that their panels have not made it 1 year in service. She assured me there were no out of the ordinary problems with the panels for my model dishwasher in one breath, then stated they were out of parts and on backorder for three weeks. Now the truth comes out, further telling me that the unit is out of warranty and nothing can be done short of sending out a repairman, that I would be responsible for parts and service. After further discussion, she reluctantly agreed to send me the part for free if I arrange the installation and told me that it was very simple to install. When the part finally showed up on my doorstep with no paperwork, it was wrong. When I called and complained for waiting 3 weeks for the wrong part because there was no quality control in their parts and shipping department, all they could do was say sorry. They told me just to keep the part they sent and they would send the correct part. I begged that they ship the correct part overnight and they adamantly stated that was not an option. Maytag stipulates their process only allows ground shipping from FedEx per their contract. Knowing I had no other option, I agreed and waited for 5-day ground. The part showed up 13 days later and delivered by USPS. Apparently, I was lied to again and the left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing. Apparently, Maytag/Whirlpool have an inadequate and poorly trained quality control system in place and their manufacturing and electronic divisions are surly lacking a strong management team needed to go in and clean house. Instead, the whole mess they have contributed to continues to haunt Maytag has continued to be made to believe its okay to produce subpar products while continuing the complete demises of a once trusted American, iconic industry leader all while living on the Lorals of twenty years past.Whirlpool would do itself and this country a huge service by just letting this brand die and thrown on the heaps of scrap steel headed for China where maybe they can copy and fix what they were not capable of.

My newest Maytag is 1 year and 2 months old and Ive had two service calls so far due to the sensor unlocking the door. One time there were some socks caught “somewhere” and today the serviceman just reset the machine and it worked. He didnt know why it wouldnt work. It seems to me there needs to be some more detailed trials on these computer-operated machines. If I need another washer, it will most likely not be a Maytag.

Maytag Frontload washer MHWE300VW12 - I bought the washer and dryer in 2010 through Lowes. In Dec. 2012, it started making a loud sound when it would be in spin cycle. I called for service. When the repairman came out, he said the rear seal/bearing was bad and has gone out. The part and labor cost would be $1,184.36. Come on, are you flipping kidding me? Thats twice what I paid new for the washer. I bought them for the Maytag name. If I would have known it was a Whirlpool, no way I would have gotten them. My mother had a Maytag set that lasted 30 years. That explains why they dont show the commercials with the Maytag repairman that wouldnt have anything to do. Also, when the parts came in, they were Whirlpool parts. What a scam. Just more junk for our landfills.

Do not buy this refrigerator!! It’s small on the inside but to top it off the vent is on the left side, not in the back, so everything freezes on the left side of the refrigerator. Plus they positioned the light right in the front at the top so you cannot put a gallon of milk or anything tall. Not orange juice, apple juice, nothing!! Horrible design. I’ve had the repairman out, he said he couldn’t do anything about the freezing on the left side unless he turned the temperature up on the fridge and on the freezer. We tried that & The ice cream was so soft, almost melted. The problem then was the temperature was too warm for milk and other items. Not a recommended temperature to keep cold items. He said I would have to keep everything away from the back & the left side to use it without freezing my items. I’ve lost a lot of food because of this. Very unhappy with this refrigerator!!

Called the dealer who sent out the repairman that installed it and had to replace the control panel to the tune of $300 once the labor was included (took 2 visits as he had to order the part, so 2 trip charges). Now 3 & 1/2 years later, it is doing it again!! A call to Maytag and then a transfer to Whirlpool customer service got me nowhere. They said there were no recalls or documentation for problems with the dishwasher. Really??? I see lots of complaints on this problem with very similar Maytag dishwasher models. They would not send me a new part at no charge as a result but offered to set up a service appointment for me so I can spend another $300 (probably higher now after 3 years) and would register my complaint. Thanks for nothing!Doing that would turn my originally $900 dishwasher into a $1500 one with the result that it will probably fail again in 3 years. Absolutely ridiculous customer service. I saw a YouTube video on taking it apart and applying silicone around the ribbon connections as others have done in the hopes I can get it working again for a while as I dont have the $$$ needed to replace it again on a retired fixed income. :(

I purchased a Maytag double door refrigerator in 2012. So far the deli drawer has broken 3 times in the same way. There is a plastic peg attached to a side panel on the refrigerator. This pin breaks off after a few months of use. To repair it, you have to replace the entire side panel. The parts and labor costs are about $200 each time. It is obviously a design flaw that Maytag should fix. If you repair it every time it breaks, in about 8 years your repair costs are more than your original purchase price for the refrigerator. Dont buy Maytag products. They are inferior.

Took about 1 1/4 hours yesterday for 1 load using heavy which is the only setting that uses more than a thimble of water. Should have looked for a commercial type with a real agitator and adequate water usage. Not saying Maytag is probably any worse than any other brand of new efficiency government mandated garbage washer, but its no good.

We bought the washer less than a year ago. The washer became off balance with an average load of jeans. The washer shook so violently that it cut our floor, busted our wall, and broke itself. Water covered our floor! We have now been over a month with no washing machine (still paying on it, by the way). We have had to pay to get our clothes washed in the last month = EXPENSIVE! The repair company has been out to our home twice, broken high-quality tools trying to repair the machine, and told by their higher-ups that the washer can still be repaired. Customer service only tells us that we have a repair warranty and the first repair has no time limit.

The repairman said it is normal and told me to use Tide detergent once every two weeks. The dryer had a major breakdown and I had to buy a whole header with all the electrical components. I too bought the brand name Maytag due to a good reputation that Maytag had. I never received a recall notice or anything from Maytag. I will never buy Maytag products again. I found out from a salesperson at Sears that Maytag was sold to Whirlpool. The salesperson said the reviews are terrible for Maytag products especially for my models. I will never buy from Sears, etc. What can you do for me? Maytag and Whirlpool need to take their responsibility for their products! I am truly lucky I did not buy a plane from them. This dishwasher allows the steam to escape through a small vent placed to the left of the control panel. The steam inevitably causes a short circuit, meaning that this will be a reoccurring problem every year.He did not dismantle anything and was in my home for no more than 5 minutes. I was told the cost of a new control panel would be $141 plus his labor fee of $137. So all in all, if you purchase a Maytag appliance, the initial cost is irrelevant. If you purchase a Maytag appliance, you will spend almost $300 yearly to maintain it--basically the cost of a brand-new washing machine.Something needs to be done; this is unacceptable. The least Maytag could do is provide all of us, fools who believed in their product and thought that they were of quality, with a free10-year warranty for this faulty machine which is pre-determined to break down every year as a result of their poor design planning.Cost aside, what kind of world are we living in that major appliances are made to last just one year and then are to be thrown in the dump? I had to open the top (easy) and install/glue a little styrofoam, to limit the amount the tub could travel. Second unresolvable problem is how to wash anything larger than ONE outfit. If you watch the videos, and read the information, this washer is supposed to flip your clothes so whats on top makes it to the bottom for agitation. Ha! Absolutely BS. Unless you wash a very small load single level. The clothes in a TYPICAL size load will sit exactly as you loaded it.the only attention the top layer of clothes is only sprayed with water, no agitation. Hope you dont have kids. Doesnt XL mean extra large? It sure does, you can wash one pair of extra large pants, and or one extra large shirt.

They tried to fix it but apparently it was deemed unserviceable he blew the mother board. Home Depot said they would replace or reimburse me the amount I paid for washer. We have had our Maytag Atlantis washer and dryer since 2003 and both appliances are still as dependable and hard working as the day we purchased them. We live in a house with well water and our water is treated to be soft water.We have 2 daughters and 4 grandchildren who have come and put our machines through some heavy duty challenges when their non-Maytag brand washers and dryers have failed them. At that time, I spent $337.00 for a new control panel for the dryer. (Just because I didnt want to split up my set.) I expected them to last me for the rest of my life. Of course, the washer had started to do something even the repair man had never heard of before, right about the same time. I told him that the tub would fill up with gallons of water, and surprise me when I opened the door on various occasions, flooding my laundry room and the basem*nt downstairs. Mind you, this would occur even with the water supply cut off to the machine, no hot or cold running to it.He performed a diagnostic test on it and said everything showed up fine. Of course, it didnt overflow while he was here. He is the one who told me about all the trouble and the lawsuits. I had wondered why I didnt see them for sale anymore. I have been keeping the water turned off except when I need to use it after all this time. It still happens! The repairman thought I was senile or something. I dont have a mold problem, no trouble with the door lock (yet), and out of all the comments and complaints Ive read online today, only this site had one with a problem of it flooding the house. My husband and I are on a fixed income, and here is this unit (that I thought would be my last) rotting out my floor and wall in the laundry room, and flooding my basem*nt. Not to mention it rusting out the inside of the washer and its pedestal. I would like to hear from anyone else who had this water problem, and what it took to fix it.

I called Maytag and found out there was a problem with the circuit board, and that it was under recall. The refrigerator was fixed at no charge and I was happy. Approximately 2-1/2 months ago, less than 7 years after I bought the fridge, it started getting too cold inside and then too warm and then too cold, etc. Then it stopped cooling altogether. From what I read, it was either a problem with the compressor or the relay on the compressor. There was a recall on the relay on some models, but not on mine. I cant even afford a service call. Let alone a repair charge. If the compressor is the problem, Im looking at a repair bill in the hundreds of dollars. The online price for a compressor is over $300. I dont have the money. So the beautiful refrigerator that I paid $2,000 for sits in the kitchen, unplugged. I never figured that Id pay that kind of money for a refrigerator and have 2 major problems with it in less than 7 years. I just got off the phone with Maytag and, of course, they cant do anything to help me. I was hoping to never buy another refrigerator, but if I have to or if I have to buy any other appliance, I will never ever buy another Maytag or Whirlpool. I will post everywhere I can about my experiences with this refrigerator.

My experience is very similar to Richards below. I have an MDBH979AWS3 that was purchased new in April of 2010. Just over one month after my warranty expired, the touch panel ceased to work. Since it was no longer in warranty, I had to replace it out of pocket. The wiring harness to the old panel looked heat damaged. Last winter, the central computer died. The machine was useless. I called Maytag customer service and actually seemed to find a sympathetic ear. They agreed to a new part if I paid $129 for one of the two companies doing certified repair to install it. During the summer, it blew several fuses. Then in late November of this year, the touch panel went again. I hesitated on how to respond and waited until after the holidays to call them. I got the most rude customer service rep that Ive dealt with in a long time. Somehow, I was blamed for a misdiagnosis on the computer panel (duh, no, that was a different issue and it was indeed broken), accused of misuse of the dishwasher, and flatly told that they werent going to do anything more on a machine. So far, out of warranty. Im sorry, but I cant accept that a machine under 3 years old should have 3 major failures. Maytag has to step up and at least look at this problem. From what Ive read, this is a common problem that has resulted in several fires. Maytag has to know about this and continues to do nothing, not even issue a recall on the current touch panel used. I am now faced with putting another $100 in (which puts me at about $350 total on a machine I paid almost $500 for) or just buy a new product. Purchased a stackable washer and dryer (Maytag) for our new condo in Feb 2015. After it was installed a few months later the problems began. The washer wasnt removing the water from the clothes. We contacted Maytag and they informed us that they subcontract out to a company called Appliance Service of Central Florida (727-462-0394). Contacted Appliance Service and set up a date to be serviced. Since then, we have had Appliance Service out to our place over 8 times. They found fault in our control panel, our door lock, replaced our motor and have replace several other parts. It has been over 4 months since they started repairs on our machine and have informed me that they have a right to try and fix the problem. I have no problem with this but when and how long do I have to put up with this? They dont seem to care that my wife and I havent had a working washer in over 4 months.The people doing the repairs stated that this machine should have been replaced because it had or has several problems with it and after replacing the motor, electric panel etc it still isnt working. When I contacted Maytag they stated that as long as Appliance Service is working on the problem, it out of their hands. Is there anything I can do besides contacting a lawyer and spending more money?

The inside is stainless steel (those are the quietest) and it has a child lock so my 2 yo grandson can push all the buttons he wants and he still can’t mess things up. I love the high temp and sanitize features and everything is always clean and dry when done. It seems like it takes a long time to run through all the cycles, though. That and no adjustable top rack are the only two things I miss with my previous dishwasher.

They only had one service company in our area to work on the washer. I called them and it took them 10 days to come see what is wrong. Ordered parts. Said it would be 2 weeks. We are now 6 weeks into this with no parts. Called customer service and they said they were notified that their service company needed a part and would take another 21 days to resolve. Talked to a supervisor (Demetrius) who sounded like he did NOT want to be in that position. Offered no solution other than we will just have to wait. Threw a 3 month extension for the warranty on which still does not fix the problem. Sad to see this company go down the tubes as it was once a pretty decent business with solid products. No longer.

I got a washer from a Menards Store in Fond du Lac, WI. I was given a line of crap at how great it was, and because Ive used Maytag for years I bought it. Id rather have my 20 plus old one back. At least it didnt take over an hour for a load, and the rinse cycle really worked. WE HATE YOUR NEW WASHER. As soon as we can afford a different washer well be looking for a different brand.

It had always been my wish to own a Maytag washer and dryer as they were considered THE BEST! Well was I wrong!! I am on the third stainless steel drum, this one has a hole in it, need 4 wheels and pulleys, with service $542.61!!! On the average, I am having a service call every 6 months - last year we were gone for 6 months so no laundry was done, one drum was delivered and was egg-shaped. Maytag has been NO HELP! I am very disappointed with Maytag, their service and product. They HAD an excellent reputation, to me that is everything. Quality, customer service, and their word means nothing to me anymore.

He checked it out and said its not serviceable because theres a leak somewhere in the casing. Had to call KYW 3, On Your Side, they helped me get some progress. Jacqueline from corporate called and said they would replace it. It started on July 3 and now August 13 and still no fridge. Had my Maytag washer fixed, small problem. Parts came in a box marked Whirlpool for a Maytag washer from a Sears Warehouse. Plus the mechanic said my Maytag refrigerator is made by Amana. Buy American?

NOW you buy the fridge, but like everything else, once they get your money youre basically on your own! I call to have a owners manual sent to her, she doesnt interact with the internet. I mean, there are still your older ones that doesnt even get on a computer. BUT I was told I couldnt get one! But when I bought it, I had one. Instead, I think its ridiculous how once, like any other major company, they get your money, and threw to the wind after that, something as simply as getting an owners manual for my fridge!!!! I bought my refrigerator in May of 2012. Brand new from Home Depot. It is less than 3 years old. Now it is not working. I did not purchase an extended warranty. I never thought in less than 3 years my fridge would stop working. I called Maytag, first question from them was about warranty. So I knew I was screwed. So, basically for $300 they would come out and fix the problem. I only paid $800 for the fridge. I am lost as to why in 3 years my fridge is broke?? Makes no sense to me. So I paid a tech $100 to tell me what was wrong with it. The evaporator is leaking. It is leaking. So the evaporator is bad and I cannot fix myself. So for another $300 they would fix, so a total of $400 in an $800 fridge.I am pissed. I remember my parents having a fridge for over 25 years. Why does Maytag not take responsibility for their problem. The products we buy should last longer than 3 years. It is just a way for them to get us to buy another product. So needless to say, I am one pissed off customer. So let the emailing and letter writing begin.

Only used on weekends we are there, now the washer is broken, will not spin and UL light comes on, even with no clothes in it. DO NOT BUY!!! Like others have stated, we need to start a class action lawsuit against Maytag for fraud and knowingly selling junk.

Purchased MAYTAG DISHWASHER MDB7809awm in 2011 for $719. In 06/2013 the far right 3 buttons stopped working. I contacted Maytag to see if there was an issue with this and they reported that there was not. I had the part replaced in 06/2013 at $280. It cost me 1/3 of the purchase price of the dishwasher. The repairman said that he sees this a lot with Maytag control panel issues.On 08/02/14 the same exact issue occurred. I contacted Maytag online on 08/02/14 and didnt hear back until 8/13/14 to say that there was no known issue and all they could do was recommend a repairman. I also called before I heard back via email and they said the same exact thing, there is no known issue and we can do is recommend a repairman. I am not interested in repairing. Been there, done that. Not doing it again. I researched the issue of the 3 far right buttons not working and there are several forums and discussion topics out there. I find it hard to believe that MAYTAG is not aware of this issue. If you GOOGLE the model you will see the same issue. Not only is the MAYTAG product poor, but they have the worst customer service I have ever seen.

On June 17, 2013, we purchased this over the stove microwave for my elderly parents. They use it daily to heat their lunches. In December 2014, it would stop turning and finally in January 2015 it completely died... no heating and no turning. The technician quoted a repair at $200 when we only paid a little more to purchase it. I emailed Maytag to tell them that it was manufactured and purchased in 2013 with light use and that it should never have died in such a short period of time. An e-Solutions Specialist contacted me to tell me that they certainly understand my frustration, but that occasionally failures occur and that there was nothing they could do. I replied back that they could DO something because they were customer service and that was there job. No reply back yet, but after seeing so many of the same issues here, Im not holding my breath and I would never buy or recommend a Maytag product of any kind to anyone. I dont expect 15 years from an appliance, but I certainly think 18 months is just wrong.

I made the mistake of buying a Maytag 2 years ago, this machine would not wash clothes even when using the deep water wash. I should have looked at it closer, it is so full of modern computer garbage that I was having to wash clothes twice so the water saving was negative. I own a business across from a major shopping center so what we did was we loaded it up in one of our trucks and parked it in front of our business with a giant sign and invited people to take a look before buying one. In 6 months we must have had at least a 1000 people inquire.

I do not recommend this product. I purchased them 2 years ago. Within one month, the drum stopped working on the dryer. This was covered under warranty. In the last month, though, I have noticed that there are blue stains on the new drum. I do not leave clothes in the dryer wet. Last week, the washer stopped agitating or cleaning clothes even though the cycle would still run. I called for a service call and paid $82 for this. I found out the transmission was not working. This is not covered under the warranty. The warranty for entire machine is only 1 year. The 2-10 year warranty only covers the drive motor and wash basket. I cannot understand why a transmission is not covered. I feel like they are not standing behind their product. Finally, after a lot of talking, I did get Maytag to agree to cover the cost of the transmission part; but I am still obligated to pay $150 for labor. Why are products not standing up to use as in the past? I am very disappointed with these products.

White clothes come out with some sort of grease stains on them and darks come out with a detergent white scum on them. I have to put them through twice to get the scum off and I have to scrub my whites by hand. So much for your new type washers. If I could find a washer with an agitator and water saver on it, I would buy it in a flash and get rid of this so called newest thing on the market. I have to put a cleaner through it every 2-3 weeks that costs me $10.00 for 3 pucks and having to rewash my clothes does not save water or time. There is a lot to be said for the washers that had water saver on them. First of all, I could open the lid during the wash cycle and add another item. (2) I could use the last of the 2 rinse cycles from my white clothes to start a load of dark clothes, that was truly a water saver and both loads were sparkling clean. Every women that I have discussed these new machines with (both front loaders and top loaders) say that you and other companies that think you have improved wash day for women have definitely not improved it but rather made it a nightmare. Absolutely hate this product. I hasnt given me a moments satisfaction since we spent the $1,000.00.

We purchased a Maytag Dishwasher Model #MDBTT60AWW3. Shortly after manufacturer warranty ran out, the control panel went out. Luckily we had purchased the extended warranty. The repair company came out and put a new control panel in it. Two months later, the control panel goes out again. The warranty firm sends out a different repair company. They replace the control panel again. This time it doesnt work. They replace some of the buttons as according to the repair person they arent registering the correct OHM reading. It works again. Yay!. A week later, its not working again. The repair company is coming back. This is really starting to get old. Between the multiple times it has broken down, waiting for the repair company to come out, diagnose the problem and order parts, we have been without a dishwasher for approx. 2 months the multiple times it has broken down. Im so fed up with this thing. I also will never ever buy another Maytag again. They need to have a major recall on these because of the terrible, terrible control panel. This isnt just me, its a lot of people.

After speaking with Maytag’s customer service and scheduling a repair company to come fix it, it took 3 separate trips over a span of 2 or 3 weeks to finally find the correct replacement piece to get it to work again. It is now 10 months since buying and we, once again, are having issues with the lights going out and randomly coming back on, the water/ice machine not dispensing, and we’re just waiting to see if the cooling unit isn’t out as well.I called Maytag as soon as we noticed the issue, and after waiting 15 minutes on hold, they scheduled a repair service to come check it out... in 5 days. Having spent $2300 on a refrigerator for our family, we were hoping for a reliable product. I would NOT RECOMMEND this refrigerator and will never buy anything, or let any friends or family members purchase anything, Maytag manufactures ever again. As if the faulty product itself weren’t bad enough, I have had the absolute worst customer service experience. Who would have thought it could be so difficult to look up a customer account, even after having it registered with Maytag after purchasing.

It doesnt get clothes clean especially if they are really dirty. So I add water to this wonderful machine——anyone wanting pictures of finished clothing I would be glad to send to you. Dirty jeans come out dirty jeans. If I forget and don’t add water it’s worse. So I watched it. It fills up to maybe halfway on clothes and this is on heavy soil and deep fill. I complained about it at the store and was told “he had one and it did fine” and you can’t get any that do any better.

I bought the washer on June 7th of 2011. On June 15, 2012, the washer just quit working. I called Maytag. They said since the warranty was over that I had to pay a technician to come out and it would cost $129. I was upset but I had to have a washer so I scheduled it. The tech came out and said the motherboard was bad. He said that this has been a common problem with this machine and that Maytag should actually recall the part. The replacement part was much better. He suggested I call and complain. The part was $180. He said that Maytag may reimburse me because it was so close to the warranty cut off. I called Maytag to explain the situation, and what do you think their response was? Since you already paid for it, there isnt anything we can do. Nice! What a joke. I will never buy another product from them and neither should anyone else.

We have had to purchase two new motherboards for the washer and now the uL, during the spin cycle, comes on and my clothes will not spin out. I have followed the manuals directions to unplug, wait, replug, redistribute, etc... all to NO avail. So very disappointed with this machine. Bought it because it was a Maytag, but will never buy another :( I had this machine repaired with major amount of parts and expense (due to the uL problem), BUT the uL code still keeps coming up. I am one really unhappy customer.

After reading all the reviews I realize this is a wide spread complaint. After 2 1/2 years the control panel on my Maytag Dishwasher will not work. You press the keys and hope for the best. I am thinking of going to the media with my complaint. Maybe we will all get some sort of refund or upgrade.
